The Princess needs YOU!

The Princess Vlei belongs to everyone – and needs everyone help to re-imagine and transform the space. We have stood together to save it from destructive development. Now we need to work together to create a wonderful public space where we can celebrate our heritage and enjoy nature. No matter how little time you have, there is always something you can do to help. Your grandchildren will thank you for it one day! Here are some ideas: 
Spread the word
  • Talk to people about ideas for the vlei.
  • Invite the Princess Vlei Forum to do presentations at meetings of your organisation.
  • Share these pages on social media.
Get involved
  • Join the Forum
  • Join one of our our subcommittees
  • Stand for our management committee
  • Come to our events and meetings, litter clean ups and plantings
Occupy the vlei and own the space
  • Discuss the Community Vision and come up with new suggestions.
  • Use the Vlei for community events, to teach your kids about nature, walk your dogs, family reunions, to get exercise, to relax….
  • Volunteer for planting and clean-ups.  Talk to us about adopting a plot; growing seedlings; sponsoring trees.
